SAM ELAHI

 

Sam's practice is focused primarily on business law and making deals happen. He provides clear and personalized advices to his clients and is committed to get them the best possible and secured deal.

 

He has previously worked for several top law firms, as well as major energy companies, such as Schneider Electric International. 

 

Sam has a deep understanding of the Iranian investment opportunity and a strong belief in the economic potential of the country and the ability of the Iranian people to prosper through business.

 

Throughout his career, Sam worked successfully on major deals, and is now an expert in contract law, and more specifically in contracts related to the establishment of energy projects. His experience includes the followings : 

 

• energy projects : solar farm, wind farms, offshore oil platform, electric network, EPC contracts. 

• global purchasing : providing the equipment for the national electric network in Belgium,

• negotiation meetings with foreign authorities for the establishment of the electric network for an offshore oil platform (Shah Deniz in Azerbaijan)

• transportation and provision of energy (electricty, oil & gas),

• drafting of contractual provisions such as partnership agreements, master agreements, non-disclosure agreements, JOA agreements, consortium agreements, etc. 

• dealing with French and International regulatory  and compliance law for major international projects 

• transportation and maritime law, shipping of goods. 

 

Sam holds a law degree in International and Business Law from the Paris Sorbonne University (2012) and a L.L.M. in Energy Law from the University of Aix-Marseille. He is fluent in French, English, and Persian.
